Tirupati–Mamallapuram Tour

Destination: Chennai – Tirupati – Mamallapuram – ChennaiTirupati Temple

Duration: 2 Nights / 3 Days

DAY 01: CHENNAI – TIRUPATI 200 KMS / 4.5 HRS

On arrival in Chennai airport / railway station drive towards Tirupati and check in to the hotel. Later visit Tirupati temple for darsan and return back to hotel. (Overnight stay in Tirupati)

DAY 02: TIRUPATI – MAMALLAPURAM (VIA: KANCHIPURAM) 205 KMS 4.5 HRS

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive towards Mamallapuram. Enroute visit Kanchipuram Kailashanathar Temple built in the 8th century is dedicated to Shiva and is the oldest structure in Kanchipuram. Its exquisite architectural work makes it one of the finest examples of Pallava architecture. Next visit the Ekambareshwar Temple is one of the largest temples in Kanchipuram with numerous shrines, mandapams, gopurams and tanks. After finshing the sightseeing drive to Mamallapuram and check in to the hotel (Overnight stay in Mamallapuram)

DAY 03: MAMALLAPURAM (DEPARTURE TO CHENNAI) 55 KMS / 1.5 HRS

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing we visit monuments from 7th century, Sculpture studio. This 3-hours walk we will start at Arjuna’s Penance (Bas Relief on the face of a huge rock). After we proceed to visit the monuments Five Rathas (architectural prototypes of Dravidian temples which symbolizes equality between man and woman), Krishna Mandapam (a rock cut temple of Krishna) and the Shore Temple (temple with 2 shrines, for Shiva and for Vishnu). After finishing the sightseeing drive towards Chennai airport for boarding the flight to your next destination.
